Gerontology

A gerontologist is a trained professional in the field of aging. Within this church, it's the call to blend and address the care and nurture of members and their families throughout the aging process in the context of faith and spirituality. Whether you’re looking for information for you, a parent, a grandparent, or another loved one, Dee Wadsworth, our staff gerontologist, may be the impartial resource you need.

For a list of topics that our staff gerontologist discusses confidentially with members and families, click here.

To contact Dee Wadsworth, email her at dwadsworth@phpc.org or call her at 214-368-6348, ext. 118.

Our approach to gerontology is threefold:

  • social connectedness
  • educational opportunities and spiritual wellbeing
  • physical, mental, and emotional wellness
