Connect with your PHPC Family and
Amy Moore @ Pine Cove

PHPC @ Pine Cove is an annual weekend retreat for members of the PHPC community. The weekend offers our family of faith an opportunity to retreat to the piney woods of Texas to make deeper connections, play together in God’s beautiful creation, and grow in faith through workshops, speakers and activities.

Who is Amy Moore?
Amy Moore is a lifetime seeker of a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Amy’s journey is an adventure of noticing where God’s abundant grace shows up and she is passionate about sharing with others in the fabulous mystery of God! She is always about exercise ~ spiritual and physical. Amy is a nurse clinician and educator, and a Pennsylvania native who found her home away from home at PHPC. She's a Stephen Minister, women’s Bible study leader, Deacon, spiritual director who responded to God’s invitation to seminary. Amy is also Reverend, serving John Calvin Presbyterian Church, the faculty of HeartPaths DFW and the work of FaithForwardDallas. And last but not least, she's a sister, wife, mother, and grandmother of two!

Play | It's not all serious
The opportunities for kids to play with one another, adults to join in the fun, or for families to play together are endless at Pine Cove. Hop in a canoe, jump on a zip line, go for a dip in the pool, fish on the dock, or blaze a trail on a horse. Evenings are filled with conversation, dominoes, card games and campfires.

Connect | God, Self, and others
Let’s face it, there are stars, no televisions and minimal distractions. The annual retreat is a perfect opportunity for you to unplug from life, reconnect with God, yourself, and other members. Whether you connect over coffee with a beautiful pond view, in a canoe during a joint prayer to stay out of the water, or by sharing a meal, these are connections that last. The weekend ends with worship - as it should - celebrating the connections made all weekend long. Connect with us!

What is PHPC @ Pine Cove?
An annual retreat for members of the PHPC community, PHPC @ Pine Cove offers our family of faith an opportunity to retreat to the piney woods of Texas to make deeper connections, play together in God’s beautiful creation, and grow in faith through workshops, speakers and activities.

What does the programming look like?
Adults are offered programming through a speaker and facilitated sessions.  Children 5-18 break out from the adults for unique programming offered by the Austin College ACtivators.  Children ages 4 and under are provided childcare and age-appropriate activities.

What are the facilities like?
Pine Cove’s camp, The Woods, offers hotel-like accommodations for lodging.  The camp has undergone significant renovation and additions to provide modern amenities.  The Woods is designed to host intergenerational groups for conferences unlike its other camps which host summer camp for children.  The dining hall provides programmed meals hand picked for our group and specific needs.  Check out the website to see more.

"I appreciate the opportunity to get away from the demands of our life at home and enjoy fellowship with other members.  My children LOVE it and talk about it all year long!  It is a nice and enjoyable way to learn more about God and my faith." —Lacy Schultz
